Corporate events can range from product launches, political fundraisers, fashion shows, conferences, and company performance announcements. This list is by no means comprehensive as there is no limit to the number of activities that would call for a corporate event. The corporate event industry has grown by leaps and bounds, as more and more companies pay more attention to the need to have well organized and professionally handled events.
Whether a corporate event is business oriented, purely social or combines a little of both, the planning takes a somewhat similar route. When planning an event, some of the tasks that will be in your docket include but are not limited to;
- Carrying out research on the type of event
- Deciphering what guests will be attending, and what they expect
- Finding a suitable venue considering the number of guests and the purpose of the event
- Arranging for caterers to provide food and drinks
- Hiring and coordinating the event personnel required
- Arranging for the transport to the venue and back
- Arranging for décor according to the theme
- Creating and sending invitations to the guests

This may continue late in to the evening even after the event has ended officially with a Mobile DJ or even just a boombox!
4) Magician – an event can be enhanced by magically producing speakers instead of just strolling onto the stage, or VIP’S could even be introduced through “magically” appearing, or their exit could be a spectacular “vanish” illusion breaking up the monotony of a normal corporate event
How to Find the Event’s Entertainment
The most common way of finding a professional corporate entertainer is by references. Contacting people who plan similar events will lead you on how to access the best entertainers. You can also visit some of these events for yourself to see different performers, to gain ideas.
Be sure to ask the performer for references, and videos of past performances to validate the performer is right for you!
